Current Beauty and Skincare Favourites | Feb 2018

It feels like it’s been such a long time since I’ve written a product post, that’s because it has been a long time! We’re already 2 months into 2018 and I’ve basically been wearing the same makeup day in day out because I can’t get enough of it. Here’s what I’m using daily in my beauty and skincare routines!

Mac Studio Fix Fluid  £24.50

This foundation is my ride or die. It sits beautifully on my skin, the shades match me when I’m fair and tanned and it’s not too expensive. For me, the coverage of this foundation along with the demi-matte finish is what draws me to it. Some people would say this foundation is completely matte, on my skin it’s not and gives me a little bit of a ‘matte glow’ I adore it. It also has SPF 15 which is great although, I’d recommend SPF in your skincare too!

Mac Studio Fix Powder £24.50

I’ve been really into this powder layered over the foundation recently because it gives me such a smooth finish. If there’s any acne or scarring visible through the base catch up with my current acne struggle here, this helps to cover it. It is a foundation powder but I don’t find it too heavy at all. This powder makes my skin look really fresh and helps to keep my foundation in place all day. I don’t use this under my eyes as it is a little too much for that area, I use a loose powder instead.

Ofra 3d Pyramid Egyptian Clay Bronzer £22

I absolutely adore this bronzer, especially when I have a tan. I avoid the highlighter shade in it but use the rest! The formula of this bronzer is so creamy and works into other creams and powders effortlessly. It’s really one of the best I’ve ever tried. The powder gives such a beautiful sheen but it’s not too much. It isn’t too warm or cool either, utter perfection.

NuSkin Curling Mascara

Ok, before we get funny just hear me out. I know network marketing and MLM isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, I don’t sell for the company but I do use a lot of their products and I can confirm, they work. Since using this mascara I have had more false lash free days than ever before. This mascara holds a curl, lengthens and thickens my lashes and doesn’t budge at all. Not even with my oily lids! I’ve never been so in love with a mascara before, I highly recommend buying this! If you’re interested in purchasing or want more information on it click here:

Colourpop Cookie  $5.50

I’ve never seen a more beautiful nude. It’s inexpensive, comfortable and the MOST perfect shade I’ve ever tried. I have managed to get through 2 of these since January and I assure you, I’ll be getting through a hell of a lot more this year. I can’t take this lipstick off, it’s so perfect. It is a matte formula but I find it isn’t completely matte and is super comfortable.

Cetaphil Moisturising Cream  £10

I use this on my acne prone skin and it has worked wonders. This product has single-handedly changed my skin in just one week. My texture is gone, my skin feels more hydrated than ever and it’s so radiant. After I finish my current cleansers and exfoliators up, I’m switching to the whole Cetaphil range, that’s how much I love this one product. It is specifically for dry and dehydrated skin but don’t let that put you off. I have combination skin and it works wonders for all areas of my face. It’s non-comedogenic which means it will not clog your pores, fragrance-free and great for sensitive skin. The best part is, it’s £10 from Boots!

NuSkin Epoch Glacial Marine Mud Mask

I love a good face mask and this one is really one of the best I’ve tried. I use this once or twice weekly and it leaves my skin super smooth. If I have any nasty whiteheads I’ll leave it on for about 25 minutes and it does such a fantastic job at drying them out. The biggest thing I’ve noticed a change with since using this is my texture. I used to have little bumps on the sides of my face and chin and since using this, it’s all cleared up. I’ve come to realise a lot of the texture was extremely blocked up pores (gross I know sorry). This mask draws impurities, excess oils and dirt out of your skin. I noticed a difference after my first use and now I can’t be without it. Another huge bonus is you get SO much product in this for such an incredible price. It’s high-end mask quality and I believe it’s under £30. Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream  £22.50

First of all, I’ve never been a huge fan of eye creams. I don’t struggle with dark circles or fine lines and have only in the last year really started using them. This eye cream is gorgeous, it’s SO hydrating and really gives my skin a beautiful glow, I look more awake and radiant when I apply it. I will say, I don’t use this under my makeup. The reason for that is I do find my foundation can gather up around the areas with the cream on. To me that’s no problem at all, I apply it on makeup-free days or in the evening. If I use it at night, my eye area is so soft in the morning! It also smells great.

I’m in love

I’m genuinely, absolutely, positively in love with every single product I have in this post. 2018 is going to be the year I stop binge buying new, unnecessary products and stick to what I know and love. I feel like I have a great skincare routine and makeup routine down and I can’t see myself changing them up anytime soon! Other than introducing more Cetaphil products, like I already mentioned!

I loved this favourites post, I always seem to use the same makeup. However, I have tried a few new products recently. I may have to try some colour pop items as I’ve never tried them before.
