April Beauty Favourites

Hey lovelies!

Firstly, how the heck is it May already?! This year is going so fast, it’s unreal! The month of April brung me a lot of new beauty products but I also fell in love with some old favourites! April for me went so fast, I didn’t necessarily wear a full face every day, in fact I’ve been letting my skin breath quite a bit recently. So here’s my little April beauty favourites post, hope you enjoy!

Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation

I fell out of love with this last year, it just wasn’t for me at the time! Recently I’ve been having really good skin days, my acne has been clearing up and I’ve been more confident with a not so full coverage base. This foundation has the most beautiful finish, it’s more of a dewy/satin finish but I love it! I apply it with a brush and then bounce over my face with a damp beauty sponge just to get rid of any streaks.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

Oh my goodness! What would I do without this brush?! This is my holy grail base brush, I’ve gone through a fair few of these and I’m already in desperate need of a new one. This brush works so well to smooth out my foundation, no matter what the consistency. For me, it’s such a perfect size, not too small but much more precise than a larger buffing brush. This is an absolute must have for me.

The Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer

I’ve had to play around with this bronzer quite a lot. It really doesn’t work well over foundation that hasn’t been set, it goes quite patchy. However, on top of powder this is absolutely stunning and this is all I use for my bronzer & contour every day now. The colour is just a perfect tone for me, not too warm at all so I can use it when I’m fair with a light application and I can use it when I’m my most tan. It’s a matte bronzer but definitely not powdery looking. I need to pick up a back up of this, it’s a staple in my make up collection!

L’oreal Lip Paint ‘Gone with the Nude’

I’m addicted to this lip paint. I tend not to wear it when I’m doing a heavy look as it isn’t super long lasting. It doesn’t dry down matte, it’s got a glossy finish but doesn’t actually feel like a lip gloss. I just adore the colour of this, it’s a super warm nude that just goes perfectly with so many makeup looks. I really love the formula of these lip paint’s, they are one of the most comfortable lip products
I own!

L’oreal Brow Artist Plumper

For all my babes with sparse brows, this is for you! I have extremely fine, sparse brows which I fill in very heavily but I’ve always loved the look of fluffy, full brows! This product has fibres in that cling to your natural brow hairs, making them appear longer and fuller. The brow plumper has honestly been a game changer for me, since using this and brushing my brows upwards for a fluffy look, I’ve had so many compliments! This is my 4th tube of the stuff, so you know I absolutely love it!

L’oreal Lumi Magique Primer

I have used this primer for a really long time, I think around 3 years?! I just love everything about it. The texture is to die for, it feels so hydrating! It’s super smooth feeling on the skin and just gives a bout of radiance. I use this even on days when I’m not wearing any make up. It isn’t overpowering at all, there is no chunky glitter in it, just a beautiful dewy sheen!

Maybelline The Eraser Eye Concealer

It took me quite a while to get into this, Im late using it! Unfortunately, this concealer doesn’t come in a light enough shade for me to use when I’m not tanned. This is a problem I encounter with basically any drugstore concealer, but I won’t want about that now! When I am heavily tanned, this concealer is beautiful under my eyes, as eye primer and used to carve out my brows. I really do love the formula of this, it’s quite lightweight but packs a fair amount of coverage. Obviously, being
drugstore, it’s super affordable too!

Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day Setting Spray – Grapefruit

I am a die hard fan of the Slay All Day setting spray from GC but recently I picked up a new scent and I am in love. The setting spray itself works really well for me! It does contain alcohol so you need to be careful near your eyes as it will sting them however it keeps my make up on so well.. beauty is pain right?! This really helps to settle any powder on my face that looks a little cakey, intensifies my highlighter and obviously smells beautiful. I’ve tried all the scents of this spray now but the grapefruit is my new favourite, it’s super refreshing but sweet at the same time. I have a back up already!

So I hope you enjoyed my April beauty favourites, let me know what you’ve been loving this last month! I hope May brings you lots of happiness!

Abbie x
